Ununtequero was the name recorded by the English for the Chief Man of the Meherrin that signed the Treaty of 1677 (also known as the Treaty Between Virginia and The Indians 1677 or Treaty of Middle Plantation). Chief Ununtequero signed the annex to this Treaty between April and June 1680.
The name Ununtequero is made up of two separate words/names, these being Ununte and Quero. The representation of these two words/names in modern Skarù·ręʔ orthography would be Unę́·ʔneh and Kwè·ruʔ the translation being Hill Rabbit.
It should be noted that the Meherrin Town of Unote in modern Skarù·ręʔ orthography would also be Unę́·ʔneh , the translation being Hill.
